Our Mission and Vision
We strive to advance taxonomic and biodiversity research in the Philippines by bringing together local and international networks of citizens and scientists, to gather data on Philippine species. We want to foster citizen science, and grow interest in taxonomy for new generation of Filipinos. We envisage a citizenry that is informed, inspired and empowered to protect natural habitats and re-wild degraded habitats. Our ultimate goal is to facilitate informed management decisions by people, governments, land managers and preservation organisations to keep the incredible biological landscapes of the Philippines intact for future generations of Filipinos, protecting and preserving an important part of our natural, cultural and biological heritage.
Our mission is to advance the discovery and naming of species in the Philippines, and to understand their ecology.
Our vision is a Philippines where no species are lost to extinction, and the preservation of our natural, cultural and biological heritage is informed by objective research.
